The political power of women within the political party

The power of women's participation in political life has historically continued to be influenced by many factors which have been mentioned during meetings with political parties which are representing the voice of the Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian communities in public institutions. Discrimination, cultural context, lack of capacity of members within political parties and fragile political stability remain the ongoing challenges that undermine the political power of women within the party, and public life. The NGO ‘VoRAE’ aims to contribute through an open debate to a truly multiethnic and multi-cultural society in Kosovo. Where the Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian communities are treated as equals by the state and society at large. We will address the outcomes and recommendations of this discussion to political parties and civil society organizations, aiming to address them seriously and together to influence the political empowerment of the participation of women from the Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian communities in public life.
