Success story

Osman Haliti is a 10th grade student majoring in shipping and logistics at the "Isa Boletini" school in Podujevë.
Osman lacked sufficient motivation for education, which caused him to not have good results in school, but the first meetings that Osman held with his mentor Bedri Mustafa, within the project "Mentoring of high school students ” which is financed by the joint project of the European Union and the Council of Europe "Building Capacity for Inclusive Education - INCLUDE" and implemented by our organization, helped him to return his performance at school.
In addition, the meetings helped Osman discover his passion for reading, so he became a regular reader in the school library. In the spirit of this motivation, Osmani even began to learn the German language and to think about his future career goals.
Osmani's mentor, Bedri Mustafa, pointed out that the project for a few months has had a positive impact not only on Osmani, but also on the other students he mentors.
The success story of Osman and other students who are part of the mentoring program is a testament to the importance of investing in education and providing support to students from marginalized communities.
The "Mentoring of high school students" project started in December 2022 and will last until November 2023. 300 high school students from the Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian communities have benefited from this project.
The purpose of the mentoring project is to improve the level of education of all students of the communities enrolled in high schools, the development of communication skills in students, integration in the school environment, career orientation, and sensitizing parents on the importance of education for their children.
