The employment program offers various services to Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian communities members. Our main goals is advocacy towards public institutions of central and local level to respect the employment quota. Through various activities and collaborations, different opportunities will be provided for participation in professional trainings, internships, application for grants and other employment programs.

Anti-Gypsyism

Anti-Gypsyism

Antigypsyism as a phenomenon is widespread and deeply rooted in the social, cultural and institutional attitudes in our country. To destroy this phenomenon from the Kosovar mentality, VoRAE will address anti-Gypsyism in public institutions, including the legal basis and institutional mechanisms. It will train service providers for its implications, as well as promote local initiatives that fight antigypism.

Education

The Education Program continues to work on the integration of Teaching Centers and Scholarship Programs into the national education system. It focuses on controlling teaching performance and monitoring systems to maintain quality and increase the level of student participation of Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian communities in school institutions. The Education program will also pilot day care programs for children.

Policy Dialogue

VoRAE is committed to be engaged for advocacy and political dialogue, trying to influence public and private sector representatives, political representatives, to involve members of the Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian communities in active social and economic policies and measures. Areas of policy change include: bylaws, administrative guidelines, new policies in the areas of housing, education, employment and anti-Gypsyism.

Women Empowerment

The goal is for Roma women to gain self-confidence to promote their issues and play more active role in the community and beyond. Empowering them will be achieved through programs that address their establishment in the economic spectrum, capacity building and advocacy to include gender in political programs.

The goal is to provide a institutional affordable housing for vulnerable groups including three-year residential plans at the local level and central. Formalization of construction groups members of the Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian communities. Raising professional capacity in the construction profile to be competitive in the job market.

The Non-Governmental Organization 'Voice of Roma, Ashkali and Egyptians' has a mission to support the mentioned communities through direct interventions in the ares of education, employment, housing as well as through advocacy and representation before the local and international governmental institutions and agencies.
